Every detail counts
What makes heavy-duty seams even more resistant? How can reflective stripes be made to last longer? Our developers here at S-GARD discuss these and other questions on a daily basis. Their goal: to develop new products and equipment details and to continuously improve the existing range. To ensure you get the best out of your protective clothing for as long as possible.
When you need a new jacket or pants, you pay attention to both functionality and appearance. The new apparel also needs to fulfill all the required standards. It is what you as the wearer rightly demand – and what we demand of ourselves as manufacturers.
Working with easily processible materials is an important aspect of production. Another challenge: designing an item of clothing that can accommodate all of the components such as pockets and reflective striping in all sizes. It makes no difference whether the coat is a size S or XL, the radio always needs to fit inside the pocket and the number of reflective stripes need to fulfill standard requirements even on the smallest sizes.
Processing materials and details
Product developers in the sample production department take care of the details with skilled craftsmanship. For instance, they add reinforcements to sleeve and jacket seams for more effective protection against abrasion. Reflective stripes have four-fold stitching and heavy-duty seams have added reinforcement. We also bank on top quality when it comes to zips and threading.
